Well, actually they weren't perfect, because even after scoring the
last goal, there was still some time left on the penalty.  By the very
nature of the way a major affects manpower, it is impossible to be
perfect on it.  Even if the last goal is scored 4:59 into it, there is
still one second left on the penalty, and that one second counts as an
opportunity.  If the goal came 5:00 into it, it would not be a PPG.
 
This brings up a stat I'd like to see along with PP/PK percentages:
amount of PP/PK time per goal scored/allowed.  THN has reported this
in the past for the NHL.  It's very interesting, but good luck finding
someone who wants to figure it out (and has the time to do it).  I
suppose if you had a program into which you could feed a game's
goals/penalties including times, it would be easier.
