Peter Geronazzo scored a beautiful shelf goal in the middle of the third period
to give the CC Tigers the fourth goal needed to win the game. This was even
bigger than it seems as Geronazzo was not given a chance to play at all last
year and had some problems with the coach, Brad Beautow. This goal tonight was
the goal that gave Brad (who is already on thin ice around the CC area for his
pitiful effort this year) his 300th career win. Geronazzo has scored two goals
in each of the last two or three series.
In case y'all hadn't heard Beautow weak in the goaltender position flew
the UND goalie to CC for a tryout. This somehow being a violation of rules
because the gentleman was not admitted to the school yet was released to the
local paper. The players think that Beutow purposfly brought the UND goalie to
CC knowing that he did not have the stuff to make it academically at CC, so
when the administration says this guy can't stay Beutow would have said, look I
am trying to improve the program and you (administration) aren't allowing me to
do my job so it isn't my fault we are struggling (suck) this year. For now the
times are happy as Beutow is celebrating his 300th and is safe until Monday
when the decisions are supposed to be made.
Hey the UNM backup goalie provided less protection in front of the goal
than a T-shirt in the rain, but I here he is 3 and 0. Is this true????
