UMD Lendzyk (40 shots, 36 saves)

Referees: Mike Tok, Buzz Christensen
Linesman: Larry Gonrowski

Attendance: 5,664

My notes:

1- Gopher goalie Tom Newman played the first two periods, was replaced by
Jeff Callinan at the beginning of the third.

2- Derek Plante of the Bulldogs will miss at least two weeks because of a
sprained and slightly torn ligament in his left knee, according to the
Mpls. Star Tribune.

3- The Bulldogs apparently do not lack scoring punch, even with Plante out
of the lineup. Chris Marinucci had two goals and two assists Saturday
night, the second goal being a spectacular unassisted shorthanded effort.
Look for it in the Bulldogs' highlight film from this season.

4- The Gophers continue to lead the WCHA in shorthanded goals allowed, with
a dismal 9. Eeeeuuuuwwwwwww.
