Can someone explain the differences between a game misconduct and
disqualification (if there actually is one)? At the Bowling
Green-Michigan game Saturday, three players on each team were given what
were announced as game disqualifications (presumably for fighting although
there was no announcement about this at the game) and one Michigan player
got a game misconduct for a check from behind into the boards.

This could create big problems for Michigan if these result in automatic
suspensions given the fact that the players thrown out were Botterill,
Muckalt, Clark, and Berenzweig and their next game is Friday against
Michigan State.
