Amherst 0 0 2 2
USAFA 0 3 2 5

The game wasn't as close as the score. It was 5-0 before amherst
scored midway in the 3rd. they got their second in the last minute of
the game.

Peter Sandness opened the scoring for air force tapping in the second
rebound shortly into the second after moriarity (amherst netminder)
made the first two saves. The second was a tip on a power play drive
from the right point. John decker tipped pat ryans blast from the
point. the third goal was on a screen from the point with pat ryan
driving it home. Andy Veneri got one of the third period goals, and i
don't recall who got the other.

Moriarty played well for amherst, making many saves on quality
opportunities. Withot his effectiveness, the score easily could have
been double digits.

Buzzy and (usually linesman) John elvy were equal to the task. I
didn't have the heart to ask him if he was going to gain weight so his
name wouldn't start at one elbow, go up across his back, and end up on
the other sleeve. Local linesman todd gow rounded out the visually
handicapped group. Buzzy had some words about referees who are also
elected officers, and observed that Shep was doing the CC DU game and
would be at the cadet fieldhouse sunday afternoon.

From the radio on the way home, it sounded like DU beat CC in denver,
but i don't have a score. perhaps karen or jack will post something.

more tomorrow (I won't know what to do with all the time since there
are only 3 games here this weekend.(-: )
