Here is the official job posting for the head hockey coaching position here at
the University of North Dakota:
 
POSITION: Head Hockey Coach
 
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
Candidates who possess leadership ability and vision in a manner that
commensurates with the academics and objectives of the university.
 
EXPERIENCE: Prior intercollegiate (NCAA Division I) coaching experience.
 
PERSONAL: Applicants must possess the ability to interact with colleagues,
students and constituents of the community.  Public speaking experience is
desirable.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will report to the athletic director and be
responsible for administration of all areas related to the success of a
collegiate ice hockey program, including academics, discipline, fiscal and
program management, and leadership.  NCAA compliance, recruiting and team
development.  Participation in appearances, fund-raising and media-related
activities, and public relations.  Supervision of all personnel related to ice
hockey.  The individual selected must work completely within the standards and
regulation of the University of North Dakota, the Western Collegiate Hockey
Association and the NCAA.
 
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and background.
 
APPOINTMENT: 12 month appointment beginning immediately upon selection.
