The Lakers score only 2 goals for the second straight night and are
upset again at home. The last time LSSU lost 2 games at home on the
same weekend was 1988. Bowling Green remains atop the CCHA standings
with the win.

The Lakers controlled the first period but only managed a 1-0 lead.
Sean Kulick started in goal for the home team, his first action of his
collegiate career, and looked solid with 8 saves in the period.

LSSU dominated the first 14 minutes of the second, constantly
controlling the puck in the BG zone. They were leading in shots 21-10
at one point but they couldn't beat Falcon goalie Bob Petrie a second
time.

But then the BG offense exploded for two quick goals. Kevin Lune's
go-ahead tally came off of a rare Laker give-away in their own end. The
shots ended up 21-15 for LSSU, but BG was leading 2-1.

The Lakers were no longer dominating play in the third, as the BG
defense was able to keep them in check. Jeff Herman put his team up 3-1
mid-way through the period, but you just knew LSSU would come back.
Defenseman Brad Willner pulled the Lakers to within one, but even with
Kulick pulled, LSSU could not beat Petrie for the equalizer.

LSSU goes on the road for its own travelling show, as it visits Miami
and Ohio State next week. BGSU gets a well-deserved week off.
