First off, we should add that Broten also won the *first* Hobey Baker
award in the spring of 1981 - his run was even more remarkable methinks.

Gary Suter played with Wisconsin in 83-84 and 84-85, neither of which
were years that UW won the NC?? championships. Gary's brother Bob,
however won both an NC?? championship (with the Badgers in '77) and
an Olympic gold medal (the '80 team).

Dave Maley (still with Edmonton?), however, one an NC?? championship
with the Badgers in '82-83 and then a Stanley Cup with the Canadiens
in '85-86 a year in which he played only 3 regular season games with
Montreal (and 7 playoff games).

Finally, I can't remember how this thread started, but I will assume
we didn't all forget a coach who won several NC?? championships as well
as a Stanley Cup in his very last year. "It's a great day for hockey."

Best wishes, Charlie
