I've been catching up on some reading, and after word of Joe Mallen's
hiring I noticed this little blurb in Friday's ANN ARBOR NEWS.

LSSU HOCKEY COACH MULLING AMHERST OFFER
Jeff Jackson, whose Lake Superior State team was runnerup in the NCAA
hockey tournament, has been offered the head coaching job at the
University of Massachusetts-Amherst. Amherst, the newest Division I
hockey program, will pay its coach $83,000 a year, The Evening News
of Sault Ste. Marie reported. Jackson, whose Lakers lost 5-4 to Maine
in the NCAA championship game April 3, is paid nearly $50,000 a year,
the newspaper said. Jackson said he interviewed last week for the
Amherst job but hasn't decided whether to take it.
