Prompted by such discussion as league additions and realignments, travel
time (teams and fans), scheduling, etc., I tried to satisfy some of my
curiosity with this table of approximate highway distances between the schools
in each conference. A more meaningful number is probably actual travel time,
but that isn't very easy without some help. Originally, I thought of putting
in distances among all Division I teams, but as I thought about it, that
didn't appear to be very helpful, so I haven't done it (yet).
Kent and Notre Dame have been added to the CCHA data, but neither Alaska
school is shown. Gotta increase my map supply.
Some of the measurements are quite crude, and I have rounded in many cases.
I would really appreicate it if those who know would send me:
a) better numbers
b) travel times
c) trips that teams make by air
d) Comments
e) Flames (Hey, any mail is better than no mail).
