Wow. Tied 4-4, Gustaf Nyquist, having played an incredible pair of games
this weekend in Durham and on NESN TV, wins a race to the puck, sidesteps
the UNH goalie to have a completely open net with about 40 seconds remaining
in regulation ... only to ding the inside of the left post, bounding
harmlessly toward the corner.

But hold on to your hat, ... UNH's fabulous Paul Thompson gets himself and
the puck beside the Maine net with 16 seconds remaining, and scores with the
Maine goalie holding the post ... it seemed. UNH 5, Maine 4.

Each team had a player leap into the spotlight .. with Maine's Kyle Beatie
playing very well while scoring his 4th and 5th goals and UNH's Kevin Goumas
recording a goal (his first was the previous night) and an assist*.

*UNH is in a 4-way tie for 2nd nationally, while Maine falls out of the top
20.
