Cornellians can fill in the details but Coach Harkness left Cornell for the 
Detroit Red Wings.  That was spectacularly unsuccessful in the pros, but 
then again, the Red Wings were not very successful with whomever was behind 
the bench in the mid 70's.

He reformed the Union hockey program in 1976-77? but left after a short 
stint in a dispute with management.

And don't forget his stint @ RPI in the 50's.
