Ok I was gonna stay on the sidelines, but I gotta tell my story.

;-)

we were traveling across the UP of Michigan to My wife's family's home.
We had the game on the radio when we entered the middle of NOWHERE.

This spot is called the seeny stretch. 35 miles of straight, flat road
across the seeny swamp between Marquette and Sault St Marie, Michigan.

As we traversed the stretch, the radio began fading in the middle of the
3rd period..
Suddenly we lost the station. There was no way were missing the end of the
game so we turned around on a desolate highway at 5 degrees and snowing
like mad to drive
back to the overhead power lines 5 miles back where the reception was good.

We listened to the last 10 minutes of the game sitting in a UP snowsquall
in the middle of the seeny stretch, and guess what, we were not ALONE!

By the end of the game there were 5-6 cars sitting around honking horns
flashin lights etc When the game ended people piled outa cars and high
fives all around! ;-)

I met Mike Eruzioni (sp) in St Paul at the final 4, years later in the
elevator at the hotel, and had my 5 year old (now 20), shake his hand and I
told him that Story. ;-)
