In an exhibition game played this afternoon at Meehan Auditiorium, Brown
defeated a gritty squad from University of Quebec - Trios Rivieres, 4-0,
with the three Bear goaltenders ( senior Yann Danis, junior Scott Rowan &
sophomore Kevin Kliman) playing one period each. Danis also logged 26.45
minutes of scoreless goaltending during Brown's 2-0 victory against Bentley
College in a scrimmage conducted last Monday. Bear goal scorers in today's
contest were senior forwards Brent Robinson and Chris Swon, and freshman
forwards Antonin Roux and Steve Sigaty. Brown had eight different players
earn at least one point in the contest with freshman defenseman Dylan Row
and junior defenseman Gerry Burke each registering two assists.

The Bears now prepare to face the Harvard Crimson in the opening game of
the 2003-04 ECAC season next Saturday at the Alexander Bright Hockey Center
in Cambridge, MA. Game time is 7:00 p.m. The contest marks the 139th
meeting of the two teams in college hockey's oldest, continuing rivalry.
