Actually a goodly number of games were on. It seemed like every Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday night that I was home, there was at least one game on
in addition to the Gophers on "regular" FSN (ex-MSC). Given that most
men's basketball is on paid subscription (ESPN Game Plan or whatever it's
called), men's hockey is, along with some women's hoop, the premiere live
event for the "free" digital channels. It proved impossible to find out
the schedule more than about 24 hours in advance, but generally it seemed
that there would be a Hockey East or BU telecast at 6 (CST), a Wisconsin
telecast at 7/7:30, and a Denver broadcast at 8. Sometimes things were
tape-delayed - e.g. a BU game on at 9 after a women's hoop game.

For those who CAN'T get DirecTV, it's not a bad option for out-of-town
college hockey. I still would rather have the DirecTV solution (for lots
of reasons)...but I can't move the office building that's blocking my view
of the satellite!
