"Good News" is, I guess, a relative term. The advantage to Fox Sports Net
handling the games was that they were available nationally on many digital
cable systems as part of the 4-channel Fox Sports Digital package. For HE
fans living in, say, MINNESOTA, this meant that I could actually watch the
Hockey East games...which I won't be able to with the NESN contract.

Don't even THINK of saying "satellite dish"...they work just fine, EXCEPT
if you have a tall building in the way!

So for me, this is definitely NOT an improvement. Granted, I'm a special
case.

other good news is the championship game will be live for the first
time in two years.

Bad news, the package still does not begin until January and seems to
be similar in number of games to recent Fox Sports New England deals.

Overall, it has to be an improvement.
