The "Canadiens" at USMA &USAFA are US citizens or dual nationals. I long for
the day that the legitimate aspirations of the Quebec are met and they throw
off the last colonial regime in North America. Now that statement from a
Quebec resident who said his anthem is Quebec Mon Pays- so all in all I have
had it with the great white north. They can do their thing and we will do
ours. As that great fellow member and patriot Dave Chamberlain said:

"The answer is simple: When I go to Canada, I respect their laws and their
anthem, and since I am not in MY country, I don't expect Canada to play the
US anthem before a game between Canadian teams regardless of team membership
(there are Americans on some Canadian junior teams). And they didn't in the
tournaments for youth Hockey unless it was the first game or between the USA
and Canadians.  If a Canadian is on an American based college team, there is
no need to play a foreign anthem and this is followed for ALL non-American
players except those from Canadian. I hope you have noticed that there are
players on US college teams from places other than Canada and USA and those
anthems are not played . I am proud to say that my "liberal" U of Michigan
only plays the USA anthem regardless of the American team being played and
the make-up of their players. (PS: I am not proud of my U of Michigan being
the second most liberal university in the United States; I am ashamed of
that!")
