The Bush Administration believes that the terrorists have many attacks
planned to happen once the US attacks Iraq. Based on this, the NCAA may be
deciding that they don't want their people in transit during this time
period. Also, there may well be a lockdown on the airports similar to the
post-9/11 period that may make flying impossible.

It is also possible that the NCAA has been asked to do this by the
Administration.

Pardon me, but I fail to see what a war in Iraq has to do with the
tourneys, except for possible TV time motivation. It would certainly
curtail attendance and decrease those big $$ for the NCAA. Call me naive
(but don't call me Shirley :-) but why should athletic events change for
this war, unless some unforeseen event happens.
