From the point of view of an amatuer official doing intramural games on campus,
I think I would've given him 5 for charging and a game misconduct on the
initial hit (+ the Major & DQ for the ensuing fight). Giving him the major was
the correct call, but labelling it intent to injure and assessing a game DQ
rather than a simple misconduct probably wasn't. But then I have the benefit of
having seen it a dozen times after the fact. Bunyon had to call it in the heat
of the moment.
