Another solid and almost dominating effort by the Dutchmen, but the Big Green
take advantage of scoring opportunities and defeat Union tonight 2-1 at
Achilles.
Nick Boucher was excellent in goal for Dartmouth, stopping many of Union's good
scoring chances.

With the win, combined with Yale's loss to Cornell, Dartmouth finishes in third
place and earns the final first-round bye. Union finishes 6th and gets to host
their arch rival RPI next weekend in Schenectady.

Final ECAC Standings:

1. Cornell
2. Harvard
3. Dartmouth
4. Yale
5. Brown
6. Union
7. Clarkson
8. Colgate
9. St. Lawrence
10. Vermont
11. RPI
12. Princeton

Cornell, Harvard, Dartmouth, and Yale have next week off and await the winners
of the following first-round playoff series:

#5 Brown vs. #12 Princeton
#6 Union vs. #11 RPI
#7 Clarkson vs. #10 Vermont
#8 Colgate vs #9 St. Lawrence

The winners will be re-seeded and face the top 4 teams for the right to
advance to
Albany's Pepsi Arena for the ECAC Championships.
