Yale beat Union tonight, 5-2, in snowy Schenectady. A series of
defensive mistakes by Union opened the door for three of Yale's goals.
They took advantage and that was all the Bulldogs needed. They
dominated much of the game. Down 4-1 with about 4 minutes left, two
Yale penalties gave Union a 5-on-3 advantage, made 6-on-3 when
goaltender Kyle Loney was pulled. Union scored quickly, and were
threatening again with a 6-on-4 advantage when Loney made it back to
the bench, but Yale put a shorthander into the empty net shortly
thereafter to finish it off. I'm sure Kevin Sneddon will not have
much good to say about this one. The Dutchmen are now 1-3-1 in the
ECAC, 4-5-3 overall, and now break until they host Northeastern on
December 29.
