I'm not bashing the MAAC or Iona, but unfortunately in southern NY Iona
hockey gets even less exposure than high school hockey...and that's not
much. Iona doesn't play in a "big-time" arena either. I haven't been
to any games but I wonder what attendance is like. I would definately
go to a game if a quality HE, CCHA, or WCHA team came to Iona on the
road, but otherwise I probably wouldn't attend. More has to be done at
these schools to promote hockey whether it be from the NCAA, the
leagues, or the schools themselves. On that note, does anyone know if
the Gaels' 2001-02 schedule is available?
