Because that treats staying West as an advantage to be earned by being
higher ranked.  In fact, it is a patent *dis*advantage for CC to be in the
West Regional, and to leave oneself hogtied by insisting that they go to
Grand Rapids because they win the comparison turns any idea of seeding by
ranking on its head.
