It's the quick and dirty "I still haven't recovered from the Rose Bowl" edition of the Hockey-L poll!

Michigan State became the unanimous #1 choice this week. I guess beating the #2 team will do that for you. :-) Michigan took something of a hit for losing to Michigan Tech at the GLI, as they dropped from 4th (getting one first-place vote) to 9th (and being off one ballot entirely).

The top eight teams appeared on all ballots. Michigan and Providence were on
each ballot save one. Below that the consensus disappeared. Rensselaer and
Northern Michigan dropped out, and are replaced by Denver and Wisconsin.

The WCHA has six teams in the Top 12, the CCHA has three teams and Hockey
East has three. The closest ECAC team was Vermont, who fell 1.5 points short.
There were nine votes this week, four West (3 WCHA, 1 CCHA) and five East
(2 ECAC, 2 HEA, 1 MAAC).
