Olympic Highlights
Last night I was watching CH 36 in Elmira/Corning/Ithaca (ABC affiliate).  The
local 6 o'clock news broadcasted the Finland-USA hockey final score, but
because of a CBS prohibition, the ABC station was not able to show the
highlights.  The sportscaster got around that restriction by using a Nintendo
game and its graphics to "illustrate" how the USA team scored the four goals.
I thought that it was a cute idea.  Personally I found CBS's handling of hockey
highlights during the prime time totally inadequate.  It showed only the
scoring of the second and third goals last night, hardly enough to satisfy my
hunger for Olympic hockey.  I guess I'd need a satellite dish for Christmas
next year.
