RPI withstands a furious rush by Cornell to solidify their hold on 3rd place
in the ECAC. The hosts went up 5-0 before Cornell got goals from Denis
Ladouceur (13), Ryan Moynihan (10), David Kozier (?), Doug Steinstra (11),
and Mike Rutter (?) to pull within 6-5. RPI added the empty netter in the
closing seconds.

The game went eerily like the regular season Troy game between these two
teams last year.

Cornell slips into 7th place, two points behind Yale and Princeton, and
three behind Colgate. With Vermont three points behind them and the North
Country pair coming into Lynah, Cornell could quite conceivably fall to 8th,
which would put them right back in Troy in two weeks. Given the comeback
and last year's Quints, I think the Big Red are the last squad RPI would
want to see come into Houston Field House.

Oh, and to top it off, Mike Noeth (he of the blown calls in game two of last
year's series between these teams) was the ref tonight.
