It's off-season and I'm slow to read my mail.  Further, there is absolutely no
hockey content in this reminiscence.

Well, this takes me back.  Norm was my professor for my statistics class in my
first year in the MBA program back in 1983.  He gave me the first four hour
final I had to sit through, starting at six at night.  He met us at the bar
after the final.  Actually, I think he may have been there first and the
teaching assistant had to sit through the full four hours.  He was a good guy,
never struck me as a professor although he was good at it.
