Despite the rumors circulating that Mankato State would not get enough votes
to enter the WCHA, I heard on the local news here in Madison that the WCHA
member schools unanimously voted them in.
 
Their first year will be 1999-2000, but will still qualify for the WCHA
playoffs next year.
