The loud annunciation of the "O" during that part of the national anthem
at sporting events of all kinds, is a common and long standing practice in
the Baltimore/Washington area, in honor of the "O"rioles. During the 8
years I lived in Ohio, I never heard a loud "O".

Im any case, I was the satellite site host in Baltimore for the 5th year
and this was certainly the most satisfying game of the bunch.
