Well, after a day (night really) to cool down, and after some input from
other people, I believe I overreacted to Erik's post.
 
I don't care to defend myself here - I believe I made a mistake in just
zapping him off the list, and I have told him so and readded him to the
list.  There are times when something just hits a trigger (usually when
combined with other, irrelevant events) and you get an "amygdaloid
hijacking."  However, while I continue to think that the post itself should
not have been made, it seems pretty clear that my actions were out of
proportion.
 
I hope that's enough said on the topic.  But if not, feel free to post your
comments either to me privately or to the list.
 
Sorry Erik.  Hope you will feel free to contribute to the list again.
