There are no student searches at the U of MN, but there is a guy
in the TV press box that has a pair of binoculars and scans the crowd for
the whole game and notifies security via walkie-talkie about any
tobacco/alcohol violations. I assume they have the legal right (of
course you're hearing this from a genetics student) to conduct
such searches, because security always searches people at concerts at
Target Center, Northrop, First Ave, etc.
