In another utterly lacklustre performance last night, RPI goes down 3-2 to
lowly Ferris State of the CCHA. Goals were score by Doug Battaglia,
scoreless since October 25 and Chris Aldous for the Engineers, both on the
power play. For Ferris State goals were scored by Olaski and Harris, with
Irwin getting the game winner at 9:31 of the third on an apparently
strange play, with RPI's defenseman Brian Pothier bouncing a clearing
attempt off the shin pad of a Ferris State forward onto the stick of
Irwin, who went in alone. Scott Prekaski turned in another stellar,
albeit futile effort garnering 39 saves in the game.
Tonight RPI faces Western Michigan, who will undoubtedly pose
another riddle to the directionless Engineers.
