Denver almost sneaks away with two points as the Sioux have another
lackluster performance at home. UND found itself down 3 to 2 by the
early stages of the second (thanks to two quick DU goals at the start of
the second), but were able to eventaully tie it and take the lead by the
end of the period.

Thought about the game...

- UND still appears to be in the building process. I get the feeling
that the line have not gelled.

- Little things mean a lot: at times the Sioux looked like they needed
to go back to the basics. Passes were very weak at times and off the
mark. The passes that did connect were misplayed a fair number of
times.

- Several breakaways were blown including one where one UND player
passed it to another and the puck went between his legs.

- Live by the transition, die by the transition. When the Sioux can't
get their feet and the puck moving, it is a long night for them. It
reminds me of basketball where coaches say that you live by the three
pointer or you die by it.

- DU looked very young and at times very sloppy. Yes, they are a young
team and need some time, but their first period was very poor. Bad
passes, poor checking, players looking lost, etc. After they started to
gain some confidence they did look a little sharper.
