10/17- Tate Rink- USMA- West Point, NY (WSPORTSSERVICE)- Army's young hockey
team rolled over Findlay (Ohio) University Oilers by a 10-3 count. The Cadets
get on the board in the first 11 seconds as junior Greg Buckmeier scored the
first of his 2 goals on the night. Firstie walk-on TR Coccaro who missed all
of last season due to serious nonhockey accident brought the 2000 fans in
attendance to their feet when he scored his first collegiate goal (Coccaro's
injury was thought to be both career and academy ending last season- his
return and his fight to play varsity are indicative of his character). Brad
Pieper scored two goals and Daryl Chamberlain was soild between the pipes.
These two teams meet again this evening.
