I've watched a lot of hockey and played a lot more. I don't think I have
ever seen earguards worn regularly above the kids level, and I have NEVER
seen any type of  injury result. I play net, and don't wear them - they
make it hard to hear and don't really provide any protection. In fact,
given the choice most collegiate level players I know/play against will
not only dump the earguards, they will dump the faceguard as well. Now
that I have seena lot of serious injuries from.
