I don't think that's quite correct. While a tournament game is played at
a neutral site, someone has to be the "home" team for purposes of line
changes, filling out the scoresheet, etc.
 
I seem to remember this coming up in a strange way a couple of years ago
in the NC$$ tournament. MSU was sent to Munn Arena, but was the
"visiting" team for that game.
 
I actually suspect that it is tournaments that the rulesmakers were most
concerned about. If Michigan was playing at Clarkson (for example) for
a pair of NC games, I'd like to think they could figure out between
themselves who would wear what jersey.
 
At a tournament, with matchups not always being determined ahead of time,
the situation could get hairy. It'd look pretty silly if two yellow
teams skated out onto the ice. :-)
