The UNH Wildcats defeated the New Brunswick Varsity Reds 6 to 1
tonight in an exhibition game at the Whittemore Center:
 
           First Period:
                      Goals: Ryan Burgoyne (NB) at 10:48.  Evenly played
with goalie Ken Carroll for NB making some fine saves.  Sean Matile was in
goal for UNH.
 
          Second Period:
                       Goals:    Mike Souza(UNH) at 1:19.  John
Sadowski(UNH) at 8:18.  Tim Walsh(UNH) at 10:14.
 UNH skated well and took control of the game.  After two periods--Matile
had 19 saves and Carroll had 29.
 
          Third Period:
                       Goals:  Erik Johnson(UNH) at .22.  Corey-Joe
Ficek(UNH) at 6:22.  Tom Nolan(UNH) at 15:44.
  UNH substituted freely and tried some different combinations  as the
pulled away .  Both teams used different goalies:
  Matt Carney(UNH) and Kurt Gormely(NB)
