I'm not knowledgeable enough to pick the all time US college teams,
but I suspect neither is the Hockey News. Consider how much more
emphasis they place on Junior hockey compared to US college, or even
Canadian college. So it's not surprising. I was actually surprised to
     see anything!

Maybe we will see more coverage as more Canadians route through and as
USA hockey improves. There was quite a stir over the USA under-18 team
in light of the World Cup victory. So maybe our college boys will get
a little more ink in the future.

Boston Bruins - best college team in town! Maybe!

The current issue of the Hockey News is a celebration of that
publication's 50th anniversary. Included in the issue is a listing of
all-time teams for each of the four major conferences in the NCAA over
the past 50 years.

Of note is the fact that the ECAC team is composed solely of players
from schools which currently comprise the ECAC, and that the Hockey East
team is based on players from the conference's conception in the
1980's. All players from Hockey East schools who played before Hockey
East split off are excluded from either team.

It is hard to argue with the likes of Ken Dryden and Bill Cleary. But
the omission of BU's Rick Meagher, a 3-time All-American, is egregious.
Note that Red Berenson of Michigan is included on the all-time WCHA
team. I'm sure there is room for plenty of other arguments.
