The logo might be copyrighted, which allows for fair use, but I'm pretty
sure that the logo is also a registered trademark, which as nothing to do
with the copyright.  When I worked/went to University of Michgian, we
weren't allowed to use the logo for the school.  Even if we wanted to put
it on the top of memos sent out to other people in the B-school.  Or make
it avaialble for student use.  We had to license the use of the logo, by
buying stationary, for instance, from the school.
 
So, it may not be nice, but if they've registed their logo as a trademark,
they can deny its use to anyone.  and if you use their logo without their
permission, or against their wishes, they can sue you, in federal court,
for damages.
