According to US College Hockey Online, senior Ethan Philpott has signed a
contract with the Carolina Hurricane.  The big, fast, former Phillips
Andover forward will be missed
 
Geez, I know this is an Olympic year, but with the pros making up the
national teams, I did not expect to see so many college players leaving,
even if the twist is that they are turning pro instead of joining the
national team.
 
By contrast the women's national side is not making that huge an impact on
the ECAC Women's League as that team consists of mostly former college
players.
