Did anyone ever think that maybe Crowley would like to finish school and
earn his degree? Crowley is a smallish defensemen, albeit with tremendous
skills. What are the chances he carves out a nice, long career in the
NHL? When you look at it like that, they aren't that good. Would he play
in Anaheim right away? Most likely not, he'd spend a year (or more) in
the minors to get tough.

He also said it would take a lot to make him miss his senior season at
Minnesota. $1 million for three years, with a third all-american and
possible Hobey award, that offer will surely be higher next year. Not to
mention an extra year to get "tougher". Plus he'll have his degree, which
is what college hockey is all about. So few make it in the NHL, and even
fewer last long in the NHL, it's nice to have that degree to back you up.

Let's see, two UND fans thinking Crowley should go pro, wishful thinking?
