This list is minus one of the best players Hockey East has ever seen in
Jim Montgomery, who I think most people would take over Greg Bullock
any day.

Jim Montgomery had 301 career points in 4 years at Maine and ended his
career as the leading scorer in Eastern college hockey ever. Thanks to
Mike M. for pointing this out but think about that for a minute. To
score 301 points you have to average 75 points a year.

Greg Bullock was a good player, but he wasn't even in the same league
as Montgomery and the other guys you listed.

As far as starters, I would love to see a Jim Montgomery-Paul
Kariya-David Emma line.

Again I have to take issue with the selection of Jeff Tory as the #1
defenseman. By points alone he *may* deserve to be on the list, but
Chris Imes was the best defenseman Maine has had in the last few years,
well above Tory.

No, Chris Imes didn't put up the numbers in terms of points, but
remember this guy was the runner-up for the Hobey Baker in 1995.
That's quite a statement about how much he was respected as a player.

Jeff Tory had problems in his own end defensively during his stay at
Maine. He was great at getting the puck on net and creating offensive
opportunities but his defensive lapses cost Maine.

By comparison think back to that 1995 3OT game with Maine vs. Michigan
and remember how Chris Imes took the Maine defense on his back and
carried them. I swear he played every other shift and second to same
great goaltending by Blair Allison was the reason Maine won that game.
Michigan had better "players", but that afternoon Chris Imes was a
force. He was just an outstanding defenseman.

I don't know who the best "D" in Hockey East over the last 10 years is,
but it certainly isn't Jeff Tory if you have Chris Imes on that list.

Can't really argue here. I believe a third choice is in sight, Mike
Dunham also had a great career at Maine, though I agree Snow was better.
