I think Connerty's decision will be influenced by whatever team drafts him.
If an NHL team drafts him and they would like to see him play a 70 game
schedule in the OHL or WHL, that is something he would have to seriously
consider. Same deal with Cornell's Jean-Marc Pelletier. Rumor has it that he
will be taken in the late first round or second round and if he is taken that
high, the team will certainly not want to see him back up Elliot another
year. Pelletier is probably gone next year to the OHL if he goes as high as
many think. The NHL has a bit of influence when it comes to their draft picks
and prospects.
