Plain and simple Men's NCAA division I and II Football should not be
in the mix in determining Title Nine. It is like comparing Apples to
Bananas. No other College sports make that
much revenue. Men's College basketball is close. When you compare the
numbers finaically of Mens and Women basketball Mens sports are going
to generate more money. So when you cut numbers of male athletes your
biting the hand that feeds the programs.
Should we cut a mens sport to make room
for a womans sport. You don't need too, take football out of the
eqation and it will level out. Numbers of scholarships but not money
generated and attendance. Plain and simple Football
generates revenue other sport can only dream of producing. This issue
is not going to go away. If you listen to a lot of the Sports talk show
hosts around the country a lot of them are not to kind to TITLE IV.
