Maybe not for a tournament in Chicago.  I doubt the ECAC representative's
contingent will be large (though they may be loud, perhaps) in any case, so
assuming the strategy is to maximize revenue, the organizers' best bet
would be to choose an ECAC team that more western fans are likely to be
interested in.  Who that is I have no idea.  Perhaps Cornell for this
year's performance (they also have a non-trivial number of alums in the
Chicago area, and the coach has CCHA connections), perhaps Clarkson for
being nationally prominent for years, perhaps Harvard for being the last
ECAC team to win it all.  Any CCHA and WCHA fans care to opine as to which
ECAC teams have a high profile out there?
 
Anybody know where this is supposed to be held?  The United Center?
