I attended the Eastern Regionals and truly enjoyed the games even though the
results weren't what I had hoped or cheered for. I was surprised to see as
many empty seats as I did. I guess I had expected more from the UNH and UVM
fans. True, they were there in good numbers but after seeing the UNH crowd at
the FleetCenter the previous weekend, I had expected more.

David Morganstern mentioned the exiting fans. This bothered me greatly too. I
noticed at the HE Finals that as time was running out that the UNH fans were
leaving in large numbers. This happened again at the Centrum. When the UVM
fans did it I was shocked. I could not believe that they weren't willing to
stay and give their team a well-deserved round of applause. It was great to
see the Clarkson fans stay and give a loud thank you to their team who return
the salute with they sticks over head. I was proud of Clarkson fans. (And
being pleased with a Clarkson fan in any manner is a first for me.)

It seems to me that if you want to share in the glory when your team wins than
you need to share in the low times as well. Those players deserved our
appreciation even in a losing effort.

On a couple of other notes:
The food at the Centrum - I wouldn't say good but there was a lot of options.
I guess the fact that I haven't won the lottery lately kept me from testing
most items.

Todd White - I had never seen him before but I was impressed. He stood out
to me even before I read the name on the sweater. I didn't think that Chris
Drury did except in that final goal. Shawn Bates was another player who stood
out as he did the week previous.
