Brown's Bob Gaudet finally won the award that year. Remember that this
was the man who inherited the worst team in the nation, produced an
Ivy champion in three years, and a NCAA qualifier in five years.
He had previously lost out to Dartmouth's Roger Demment and Union's
Bruce Deventhal.
