Hi everyone,

I have been a fan of college hockey since my days at UMaine (1985-1990).
Now I'm at UND, and have become a Sioux fan as well. In all those years,
I've never heard exactly what a "hip pointer" is. Can anyone out there
explain to me exactly what a hip pointer is?? It seems to be a common
hockey injury. Also, are "pointers" limited to the hip?? I seem to remember
Steve Tepper (UMaine) having a "neck pointer", but perhaps that was a "stinger."
If so, what is a "stinger" exactly??

Thanks in advance for the help.
