First about the waved off goal: From the press box it looked like it hit
the crossbar and came out again. I overheard Mel Pearson, assisstant
coach for Michigan, agree that it hit the post. A friend of mine,
however, who was watching the game from glass level, overheard the
conversation between the goal judge and Graff. The goal judge said that
the puck hit the net and was in, but Graff decided to disallow the goal
anyway. Again this is hearsay.

About BGSU's dirty play: Not only was Crozier's arm fractured (he's still
in the hospital last I heard), but there was no penalty called that I can
recall. And I think it was this same game that Hayes got nailed from
behind into the boards head first. Yet this call was only 2 minutes for
boarding. Botts could've avoided that player in his way, but after all
that had happened, retaliation was inevitable. As to the motive of the
malay, Botts was quoted in the Michigan Daily "Faulkner's absolutely
dead." David Faulkner was the BGSU player who slashed Crozier. The DQ on
Berenzweig should have NEVER happened. He took at least 5 punches before
he hit back. What was he suppose to do? wait for Graff to realize Bubba
had a fractured arm like Crozier? And I think it was Curtis Fry who was
trying to get Hayes into a fight by slipping in a couple of punches.

btw, anyone else who saw the game, did Madden deserve a penalty shot when
he was pulled down during his breakaway?

I think Morrison hurt his wrist vs OSU in a slashing match last season.
