The pep band is definitely alive at Cornell. At most home games
and some road games the pep band takes their position and plays everything
from the opening American and Canadian anthems to the Cornell alma mater.
The pep band leads in chants and keeps the fans and players going. Even
when down by 5 goals, the fans at Lynah are still pretty loud because of
the Pep band. When the Pep band is there, the PA is reserved for goal
announcements and other hockey related stuff, university announcements,
and warnings not to throw fish on the ice (will post on that b4 this
year's Cornell/Harvard game).
Last year, I know other pep bands accompanied their school's team
to games at Cornell. I remember Clarkson and I think Brown too.
